For the first time this year, there has been a double increase in the number of hotel beds compared to private accommodation.

Split Airport also released its statistics for the past month on Friday: over 700,000 passengers (723,048) were passed through this airport for the first time, which is the best monthly result not only in the history of Croatian but also regional airports, including ten times bigger Beograd.

Last year, 3.12 million passengers passed through the airport, just 215,000 fewer than on the Zagreb Airport, and with the planned growth of eight percent and the opening of a dozen new lines, the difference is expected to be even smaller at the end of 2019.

Split Ferry Port also records heavy passenger traffic and, according to Danijela Ivanović of Jadrolinija, 90,000 passengers and 17,000 vehicles are expected in the three days of the weekend.

"This and next weekend are the strongest weekends in arrivals and departures. Passengers travel the most to Brac and Hvar. Today we also have 150 vehicles for Ancona so this weekend will be really good in terms of passengers and traffic, "said Mrs. Ivanović for Hina.
