The Island of Brač is one of the biggest islands of the Croatian archipelago. It is most renowned for it crystal clear waters and lush greenery, but it is also important to mention wine cultivation, olive growing, fig and almond production. Primarily, Brač is famous for its limestone which is well known all around the world hence many European and world known buildings are constructed by the precious stone: The Diocletian’s Palace in Split, the Parliament of Budapest as well as the White House in Washington DC. The island is also famous for its long pebble stone beach, “Zlatni Rat”, the famous “Golden horn” on the south shore of the island. Except for its coves and transparent blissfully unspoiled water, its vineyards and olive groves, the island is known for its interesting history and architecture.
