Excursion's informationsČabulja is a mountain in Herzegovina between the Neretva River and its right tributary Drežanke. Čabulja is mostly bare, rocky and arid, with little arable land in the narrow valleys of southwestern podgorine, where there are few, shattered villages. The highest peak is 1776 m Velika Vlajna. The hiking trail starts in Bogodol (800 m) 20 km from Mostar. There is a mountain lodge with capacity of 20 persons in which it is possible to spend the night with a reservation. The trail begins a gentle climb up to 1430 m / nm where the artificial pool "Gonđuša" of which begins a steeper climb, first through beech forest and then rocks with low vegetation. From the top there is a magnificent view of the river canyon Drežanka depth 1500 m. At the base of Čabulje is plateau Bile. On the plateau Bile now lives about 150 horses arranged in several herds. In the past, horses were used by the local population for tillage, but over time the horses were replaced with modern machines. Now they are free and live in this area.
