NP Telaščica, Dugi otok island: Cycle and discover our natural heritage

Cycle and discover NP Telaščica, Dugi otok island. Dugi otok is the seventh largest island in the Adriatic Sea, part of Croatia. It is located off the Dalmatian coast, west of Zadar. Salt lake Mir, is renowned for it´s healing mud, and is habitat to an endemic species of eel called "caiman". Because of its healing power, this Lake is a favorite location for bathers. This tour provides the opportunity to relax and replenish in natures divinity following our trip to the Nature Park Telaščica. On this trail there is a beautiful view from a height of the Nature park and the entire archipelago region on one side and on the other we witnesses the stunning cliffs and sea.

From the settlement of Sali we cycle towards the southwest, first through the central island road and then on the macadam path in between the beautiful olive fields. We then arrive to the bay of Magrovica in the Nature park Telašćica. After 5 km we turn southeast along the Nature park, to the salt Lake Mir. The Nature park is located in the southeastern part of Dugi otok and with the surrounding waters, 13 islands and islets, makes an example of marvelous harmony between nature. Following around the same route, we go back to the start point allowing full opportunity to experience natures beauty.
