North Dalmatia

North Dalmatia, as a tourist macro region, is located in the central part of the Croatian Adriatic, in the area from Stari Grad in the north to Rogoznica in the south.
The most famous tourist destinations are Zadar, Biograd, Pirovac, Vodice, Šibenik, Primošten and Rogoznica.
This region is rich in natural and historical sights in the hinterland and in the coastal area, and is the most developed part of the Adriatic Sea with a countless of islands, islets and reefs.
Pag Island is the largest island in this region famous for its cheese, lace and saltworks, as well as its nightlife on the beach Zrće.
In the area of northern Dalmatia tourists can enjoy the clear turquoise sea, lakes, fertile plains and high mountains.
There are even three national parks (Paklenica, Krka, Kornati) and two nature parks (Vrana Lake and Telaščica).
The pleasant Mediterranean climate, a handful of archaeological sites, natural attractions, sandy beaches and secluded oasis, rich choice of food, selected local specialties, countless opportunities for active holidays and excursions, as well as wide selection of accommodation attract visitors in this part of Croatia.
