Railroad of Ciro, Mostar & Neretva River: Cycle and Discover Our Heritage
Start point: Mostar

The Ciro railway is historically remembered for its steam locomotives, passing through Herzegovinian landscapes starting from Mostar, along the Neretva River, crossing the Croatian border, and ending in Dubrovnik. Construction of this route began in 1898 and was completed in 1901. Today, the route has been transformed into a cycling trail.

The cycling tour starts in Mostar. Our first stop is along the wine route in the heart of Herzegovina, where we discover the local tradition of producing the famous Žilavka and Blatina wines. Next, we visit Blagaj Tekke, built at the source of the Buna River, above which we climb the Stjepan Fortress. The tour continues to Počitelj and ends in Čapljina.
Visit & Break: Mostar, Traditional Vineyards, Blagaj Tekke, Počitelj, Čapljina
