Wine route & Oysters farming, Peljesac peninsula: Discover our gastronomy heritage with a guide
Meeting point: Dubrovnik
Wine route: Oysters farm, Ston, Wineries
Quality of land and sunny slopes of Pelješac peninsula have enabled the growth and development of vines and the possibility of growing some of the highest quality wine sorts, not only in Croatia but also in the region. The most famous Croatian red wines such as Plavac, Pelješac and Postup have been traditionally produced here for centuries. The Pelješac Wine Road was created on historic Napoleon´s Road, which was built more than two hundred years ago, and passes through the most beautiful parts of the peninsula. Some of the most famous wine cellars on Pelješac are Miloš, Grgič and Matuško, where you can taste the finest Croatian wines and local products.
