The Railroad of Ćiro is famous for its steam locomotives and historic Herzegovinian landscapes. The route runs from Mostar along the Neretva River, across the Croatian border, to Neum. Today, this route has been converted into a cycling trail, ideal for an active holiday and discovering local heritage.
The cycling tour starts with a transfer from Mostar to ÄŒapljina. If desired, the archaeological site Mogorjelo, a 4th-century Roman villa rustica, can be visited. After that, the route goes through the Hutovo Blato Nature Park, a sub-Mediterranean wetland in southern Herzegovina. During the ride, you can enjoy scenic landscapes and local landmarks.
In Hutovo, there is a short break at a local café located in a renovated school – a perfect spot to rest and refresh.
The cycling tour ends with a ride towards Neum, enjoying panoramic views and the beauty of the Herzegovinian region.
