National Park Brijuni archipelago: Discover our heritage with a guide
Meeting point & Boat: Fažana port
Transfer By boat: Brijuni island
Guide duration: 4:00h

In our guided tour, we will take a walk through Brijuni National Park. Brijuni National Park is an oasis of magnificent harmony of man, fauna and flora. On the Brijuni Islands there are almost 700 species of plants, about 250 species of birds, while the mild Mediterranean climate makes this place pleasant and healing. Veliki Brijun is the largest of 14 islands. Traces of dinosaurs, remnants of antiquity and human work of modern times, inhabit these areas. The fashionable summer resort and spa of the highest category began its growth, spreading - during the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Italy - a reputation throughout Europe and the world, to a break in the years of World War II. Yugoslavia, which first arrived on the Islands in 1947.

A brief introduction to Brijuni takes place by tourist train through different views of natural beauty; through a safari park, next to a Byzantine castrum, a Roman residential villa in the Gulf of Verige, and other beauties and sights. Next to the harbor are: the church of St. Herman from the 15th century, which houses an exhibition of Istrian frescoes and copies of Glagolitic monuments. Also nearby are Natural History Collection, Archaeological Museum, and Tito on Brijuni Exhibition.
