Skakavac Waterfall

Walk and discover our heritage:
The beautiful Skakavac Waterfall is located 12 kilometres north of the city center and has a height of 96 meters. Skakavac can be reached by making a pleasant two-hour walk from the small village of Nahorevo. There are maps posted at intervals along the trail and there are the occasional rest stops. The source of the stream that gives rise to Skakavac is only a few hundred meters from the waterfall and this area is ideal for picnics, complete with tables and benches. The waterfall can be viewed from two sites: from the main gravel road that leads to the picnic area, there is a well-marked trail that goes off to the left and the first lookout is a few hundred meters from that spot.

The nicest view is another 20-minute walk down a steep but well-maintained trail. This trail leads to the base of the waterfall, and it is from here that Skakavac’s full grandeur can be admired.
