Tito’s caves are a particularly interesting place on the mount of Hum. These are two small caves with no adornments and with partially walled entrances. It is here that Josip Broz and partisan leaders stayed secretly for several months during World War II (1944). The access to the cave is made of 275 stairs.

Besides the marked mountain trails leading from Podšpilje, Vis and Komiža to the Chapel of The Holy Spirit, there are mountain markers on almost all island trails, which allows for numerous hiking possibilities. Day 2. Brač island
Except for its coves and transparent and blissfully unspoilt water, its vineyards and olive groves, the island is known for its interesting history and architecture

Bol & Zlatni Rat Beach
You will open in Bol the doors of history, which are going back to the ancient times. The Roman piscinas testify it and the grave monuments and relief. There are also the old Christian sarcophagus with the engraved crosses, the pre Romanic church of St. Ivan and St. Tudor (11th c.) on which foundations is discovered an late antique group of buildings, the residence of the bishop (12th c.), the church Madonna of graces (15th c.), the fortified gothic summer palace, the renaissance and baroque palace with the worthy gallery of contemporary Croatian art and the church Madonna of Karmel.

The Zlatni rat beach spreads to the west of Bol and is one of the biggest and most beautiful natural beaches on the Adriatic. Like a tongue stretching almost half a kilometre into the sea, it grows with the drifting deposits of tiny pebbles, changing its shape depending on the wind and the direction of the waves.
