Lošinj´s Alfred Keller restaurant is the best fine dining hotel restaurant in Europe

Two award-winning restaurants from Lošinj - Alfred Keller and Matsunoki continue to make their way to the top of the world's gastronomy, as confirmed by new globally recognized recognitions awarded by the World Culinary Awards. Restaurant Alfred Keller, located in one of the 10 best European hotels - Boutique Hotel Alhambra, won the prestigious "Best in Europe" award, further confirming its quality as the best European fine dining hotel restaurant.


The Japanese restaurant Matsunoki, located in the Bellevue Hotel, was also awarded with an important recognition, which was awarded the "Best in Croatia" award for the best hotel restaurant in Croatia.
The Alfred Keller restaurant continuously confirms that it belongs to the very top of the Croatian and world restaurant scene, as indicated by the fact that it can boast of the prestigious Michelin star. Moreover, Alfred Keller is also the first and so far the only Lošinj restaurant to win this prestigious award, all thanks to the talented young chef Michael Gollenz, who was also awarded the title of Great Chef of Tomorrow by the renowned Gault & Millau guide. Superior knowledge and competence, along with a lot of effort and a team of passionate experts are an unquestionable recipe for success, and if you add only the highest quality foods from local cultivation and an innovative approach, top results and awards are continuously achieved.


The latest in the series is the "Best in Europe" award, where the fact that the Alfred Keller restaurant won it ahead of the globally recognized "Four Seasons Paris' Le Cinq" restaurant, which has as many as three Michelin stars, gives additional weight to the overall success.


The enviable gastronomic and oenological excellence was also confirmed by the multiple award-winning restaurant Matsunoki, whose innovation and boldness rarely go unnoticed. This fusion restaurant successfully combines traditional Japanese cuisine with Mediterranean organic and local ingredients, and the vision of chef Orhan Cakiroglu has ensured global recognition on several occasions. After the Michelin plate and the "Best of Award of Excellence" award, the "Best in Croatia" award only confirms that Matsunoki is on the way to winning its first Michelin star.
