"Symbolically speaking, for the owners of our hotels, after several "lean" years caused by the pandemic crisis, "fat" years are ahead of us. Croatia is one of the most attractive destinations, according to current bookings in family and small hotels, we are expecting a record tourist year, but also new investment cycles", said the president of the National Association of Family and Small Hotels, Šime Klarić, at the signing of the cooperation agreement with Pevex in Zagreb's As Hotel.
He added that for new investments family hotel owners need strong and quality partners who can respond to all their requests. They recognized such a partner in Pevex, which has a wide network of stores distributed throughout Croatia, a rich range of products and numerous benefits.
Pevex already has around 57.5 thousand entrepreneurs and craftsmen in its partner club, and part of the owners of family and small hoteliers already cooperates with them, so this partnership was naturally imposed.
"By cooperating with the Association of Family and Small Hotels, Pevex increases the number of satisfied wholesale customers and becomes a safe, favorable and desirable partner for more than 200 members, hotel owners, who are provided with everything they need for the construction, decoration and furnishing of facilities in one place. By signing a cooperation agreement, all customers, members of the National Association of Family and Small Hotels, get benefits on all Pevex's rich assortment of 65 thousand items. "Thanks to the excellent cooperation with more than 450 domestic and foreign suppliers, Pevex provides members of the National Association of Family and Small Hotels with more favorable and easier access to goods, while at the same time strengthening partner relations," said Pevex CEO Krešimir Bubalo and announced the opening of a new sales center in Poreč.

Family and small hotels are most often found in less developed destinations, and even a quarter of them are on the continent. In their offer, the emphasis is on authentic, local and healthy, they preserve heritage and space as a resource, and since last year, in accordance with the green and digital transformation, they offer their members who meet the strict criteria of sustainable business a prestigious eco certificate.
"Green business has become a necessity not only due to the demands of our conscious guests for environmentally friendly accommodation, but also due to large savings for hoteliers, but green and digital transformation also implies significant investments in facilities. In this sense, support through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan is extremely important to us, as well as the support of our general partner Pevex, which recognized this project as well. Our goal, in cooperation with Pevex, is to encourage all family and small hotels to green and digital transformation and the necessary investments that will further raise the level of quality and strengthen the status of family and small hotel industry as a leader in Croatian tourism," says Klarić.
