British journalist Tristan Rurtherford in the well-known British daily newspaper Telegraph, which is followed by 16 million readers, published an extensive report about the island of Cres under the title 'Cres: Croatia's forgotten island that costs as half as much as Hvar'. The article, in which Cres is presented as an ideal destination with a rich tourist offer, is the result of a trip to Croatia realized in April organized by the Representation of the Croatian Tourist Board in London.
The journalist visited the attractions of the island of Cres and described it as a luxurious synergy of natural beauty and authentic specialties at affordable prices. From Lubenica beach and the clean Adriatic Sea full of dolphins to the medieval town of Cres with a large number of small churches, the journalist additionally highlighted Cres as a destination that is extremely rich in history and culture.
